Biblical Research is published annually by the Chicago Society of Biblical Research, and its contents include papers and articles contributed by members and invited guests of the Society. Manuscripts should be submitted to the editor, Prof. Troy W. Martin, Department of Religious Studies, Saint Xavier University, 3700 W. 103rd Street, Chicago, IL 60655, or preferably in electronic form as an e-mail attachment to martin@sxu.edu. Manuscripts should be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document and be in conformity with The SBL Handbook of Style for Ancient Near Eastern, Biblical, and Early Christian Studies (ed. Patrick H. Alexander; Peabody: Hendrickson, 1999). Manuscripts should be single spaced throughout with a .5” indention in the first line of paragraphs and a .3” indention in the first line of footnotes, which must use the standard bibliographic form and avoid author-date citations. All paragraphs and footnotes must have a justified right margin. The English font should be in Times New Roman 10 for the text and Times New Roman 9 for the footnotes. Foreign language fonts must be Unicode. Greek and certain ancient Near Eastern language fonts are available for download as Unicode fonts from the SBL Website (http://sbl-site.org). Charts and graphs should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Each manuscript must begin with an abstract of 150 words or less.
